The private rafting section is NOT longer than the group rafting section. Technically, both tours cover the same iconic 8 km section from Srpenica I to Trnovo I. On a standard group tour, you’ll spend an average of 1h 20min on the river. However, the experience is longer in a private boat. We aren’t tied to a fleet, so we have the luxury of time to stop at every rock jump and swim in emerald pools as long as you like. You aren’t just “doing the section”; you are owning it.

Absolutely. While group tours follow a fixed schedule (09:30, 13:00, 16:00), private tours are flexible. We set a departure time that fits your day perfectly—ideal for management teams or families who want to avoid the peak “bazaar” hours.

YES, IF YOUR GROUP IS EXACTLY 8 PEOPLE

Yes—but only if you fill every seat. Our rafts carry up to 8 people. So, if your group is exactly 8 (or you’re a family of 8), you’ll have the boat to yourselves. However, you’ll still be part of the larger fleet, following the group’s schedule.

If you are a smaller group (say, 4 or 5 people) and you’re dreaming of having a boat for yourselves, Private Rafting is the only way. It ensures your pack has the entire raft and a dedicated guide. Don’t leave your intimacy to chance!

Navigating the rules for river permits on the Soča can be tricky, so we’ve made it simple for you. Every person on the river (including children of all ages) must have a valid permit.

For Private Rafting Tours: YES
We want your private experience to be 100% stress-free. That’s why all river permits (worth 21 € per person) are already included in the price of your private boat. We handle the purchase and the paperwork so you can go straight to the water.

For Group Rafting Tours: NO
For our standard group tours, the river permit is NOT included in the activity price.

The Cost: 21 € per person (covers both Bovec and Kobarid municipal sections).

How to Buy: Due to new regulations, we are no longer allowed to buy permits for you, as the system requires your name and personal payment card.

Our Advice: We suggest buying your permit maximum 24 hours before departure (once we confirm the trip is on regarding weather and water levels). You can buy them online or at the TIC Bovec/Kobarid office.
