And find perfect activities for you. You can choose between water, land and air sports. Canyoning will take about 4 hours of your time so you can add another activity on the same day. But, if your wish-list is longer you just email us all the activities you’d like to do and we’ll prepare a program for you. Just don’t plan more than 2 activities in one day.

Booking a tour in advance is always a good idea. You don’t want to spoil your day with complications like “sorry, but we’re completely full today”. Besides it’s good that we know you’re coming. So we can organize our team, polish the harness, make sure our guides are shaved and gear room smells of fresh roses.

• swimsuits (best if you wear them under your clothes)
• extra pair of underwear because your swimsuits will be wet

COME TO BOVEC

Our sports center is located in Bovec. We have a big private parking lot where you can park your car. There are also toilets, showers, lockers and changing cabins here. Not to mention the chill-out area with free WiFi.

CHECK-IN AT OUR OFFICE

First we will need you to sign a declaration of awareness. Please note that we can’t take on rafting trip people who are

• under the influence of alcohol and drugs
• pregnant
• physically or mentally disabled
• blind (you have to be able to see at least something)

Then we will kindly ask you to pay 🙂 You can pay in Euro or by credit card. VISA, Mastercard and Maestro are all accepted.

They will explain the details about the trip and hand you all the equipment you need.

GETTING TO THE FRATARCA CANYON

There’s a big parking in front of the Bovec Rafting Team sports center. There you will leave your car. You won’t need it until the end of your trip. We will take you to the starting point in the Fratarca canyon and then back to Bovec with our vans and buses.

BEFORE YOU ENTER THE CANYON

You will change to neoprene suits, put on neoprene shoes and harnesses. You will leave your clothes and towels in our van or bus. Then follows a 40 minutes long walk to the starting point. We all hate this part of the tour but it’s worth the award. Just before you start with crazy sliding down the waterfalls the guide will also explain the basic of whitewater safety and show you what the harness is for.

FUN IN THE CANYON

There are many high waterfalls in the Fratarca canyon, but not so many jumps and slides. The main difference is that Sušec canyoning is less demanding and therefore more fun. Fratarca canyoning is more demanding and more technical. Waterfalls are also much higher, up to 50 meters high. That means you will be using the rope and harness most of the time and it’s good if you have at least some rock climbing experience.

WHEN OUT OF THE CANYON

Look back at the last waterfall and be proud of your achievement.
Then get rid of that terrible wet neoprene. The vans will already be there with your dry clothes. When you’re ready we’ll drive you back to our sports center.

GET PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FROM YOUR CANYONING TOUR

Your guide will take his GoPro camera in the canyon. After the trip we will send you all the photos and videos from the trip for free. So, stop at our office and leave your e-mail. We will send you a link as soon as photos and videos are uploaded to a cloud gallery.
